I just bought my first QSP, a BladeHQ Exclusive Penguin in S90V and blue frag titanium scales! I don’t know when it’s shipping but I’m so excited! This knife I have considered getting and still might now that I’ve seen this review, Thanks MC! 👍🏻

Of all of the big Chinese OEMs, it seems like QSP makes the best pure user knives. The handles are all pretty neutral and they don’t do anything too wild with the blade shapes. If you think about the knife that put them on the map, the Penguin, it’s pretty obvious. Good utilitarian blade, solid grind, respectable heat treat, and a handle that accommodates a wide range of hand sizes. And it runs on washers… which are the way to go.

Just got my AD 20.5 in textured Titanium today. Loved your videos on it!

Thank you for championing extended jimping. I always use a saber or pinch grip because I have long fingers and jimping is almost never long enough.

I have loved this knife since I first got it in my going gear box!

QSP makes AMAZING Budget Knives & I like this 1 BUT "IF" & When I get a QSP it would be the - QSP Jacob Lundquist Vault Glyde Lock, its usually around $85 & it is AMAZING & my 2nd choice would be a Penguin in ANY style 😜

I just got a Kizer Cormorant with S35 G10 scales for $60 and it's amazing, no flaws and feels great

Hi MC. 14c28n is absolutely a great steel for folders and fixed blades alike. Great price point for what you’re getting. My opinion. Thx PS, you don’t baton folders. Get a fixed blade.

I like QSP. I've got the Kali and the Penguin.

Does this compare pretty close to the Vosteed Racoon? I had that in-hand while watching this video and it looked pretty similar. I own some QSPs so I don't necessarily "need" it especially if it's a pretty close match to the Vosteed

I love QSP knives
Great designs, decent prices, screaming sharp out of the box
This one looks like a beefed up version of the QSP Hawk

Do you have any objections to using gun oils on pivots? Is it the right consistency? For good action

I have both the Ripley and a Terminus XR and I'm torn between the two
Ripley has nice scales and materials, blade length is ideal, but the shape can come off as threatening and the jimping isn't great imo
Term has a flipper (which I've only come to appreciate how it prevents fingers from slipping up), S35 and CF+G10, the jimping is really grippy, the lock prevents the blade from slamming into the liner, but 2.9in is smaller than it sounds and makes me want the Seal XR
I've heard good things about the Kizer Drop Bear and Assassin with Clutch Lock, and that Silver CF is gorgeous, but I really don't need another Crossbar knife

The measurements arent odd when you think metric. For example, the total length is 20cm.

Is it too much to ask for you to keep a Bugout around for size comparison? Especially with so many “Bugout-like” knives out there? As you say, BM didn’t invent the shape, but they certainly created the modern trend, and we have all had/handled them. Keep up the amazing work!

MC, did you know that your LinkTree list of most recommended knives has been removed?

I died laughing because damn near every knife I have used follows the standard of giving you almost enough jimping on the spine of the blade.
