It's not only the dual meaning of title but also the contrast that the author named "Ai" (which literally means love in japanese) to an idol who is unsure about her love for others till the final moments of her life .

In simple terms it's basically this:
1st meaning -
Oshi (meaning push) no ko, or
"the idol I stan"

2nd meaning
Oshi no ko, or
"The children of my idol"

I really thought Oshi No Ko was just Oshi no Kodomo, which is as plain as Favorite Idol's Child.

I was genuinely confused because the title has only 3 words: Oshi (推し), no (の), and ko (子). How can it be read THAT long

1: 好きなアイドルを推す (sukina aidoru wo osu)
2: 推しているアイドルの子ども (oshiteiru aidoru no kodomo)

But after reading the kanji, I understand what you meant. Btw you wrote the romaji for the first one and pronounce both wrong. Haha

Honestly this manga/anime surprised me a lot, I don't like isekai's but DAMN did this manga do so many things right, the world building, how it tackles the entertainment industry, and the individual lives of Ruby and Aqua, and it balances those two stories out, and Aqua, a character who I started out not liking kind of grew on me.
I'm only on chapter fourty-six, but he's a very complex character, Ruby is great too.

In the Chinese translation title 我推的孩子
I thought it meant "the children I pushed"
WHICH KINDA MAKES SENSE 😭

bro after i watched the first 2 episodes I just read the manga I'm caught up to the latest chapter(SPOILER WARNING)

I can say it aqua did some shitty stuff so did ruby they fr gave me chills and I loved how they both unlocked their stars in the eyes after aqua lost his and got both and even their dad resembles aqua so well bro it went from slice of life to tragic real quick and sry for the spoilers
