I just love how you can see her jumping while the map/curtain goes down... this is so genuine in every way, I am so proud of her! G(a)linda is a great role to have, many amazing people have portrayed her, and here is another great person to be added to the wall...

I love the musical Wicked so much, and to see someone who looks like me floating down in that bubble makes me so happy!

i think i saw a vid with her once. she fluffed a line and saved it so SMOOTHLY i was shook - and that's what makes a good performer for me
and her glinda was hella bouncy and hyped so adorable

I see a lot of comments saying “finally a black woman is playing galinda/glinda.” i think this is amazing but it’s important to remember the reason this hasn’t happened until now is because the stereotypical view of a ditsy college girl is a white, privileged blonde. it takes an exceptional actor/actress to break a stereotype like this and i think brittney is far more that the first black glinda, she’s a talented actress who can break the stereotype of a well known character and represent her community.

One of my favorite parts of this video is the ensemble member, 3rd from the left, also a woman of color, crying as Brittney comes out for curtain call. (you can tell around 0:28) It speaks to just how powerful and important it is to have that type of representation for women of color in such an iconic and positive role.
