Ryan Martinie - inspired 'hammering' technique on GUITAR!

I've been utisiling a few unorthodox guitar techniques of late for writing, including this interesting, percusssive 'hammering' right hand technique I picked up from the amazing bassist Ryan Martinie (of Mudvayne fame). What do you guys think? Anyone else using this approach on guitar or bass?

Let me know if anyone wants me to make a tutorial on this technique.

Glad to see someone using the struck note technique on a guitar, I've always felt that it gives for an interesting tone rather than conventional slapping or thumping
