Hey, Jack! The tips you gave us are really great. I always use some of them when I have an argument or discussion with other learners about how to learn any language. Most of all I like how you focus on splitting the learning process in two parts - active and passive. I think it's almost impossible to become fluent in any language if you don't use active methods such as speaking and writing. You talked about it long ago. At first I said Ok and continued to read, watch and listen. But then, when I came to a language school one day I was quite surprised that I passed the grammar test having a mark of upper intermediate level (56 right answers of 60) but it was so difficult for me to speak and the teacher told me that I speak at low intermediate level. Time passed and I wanted to try to take things into my own hands and went to find people from other countries for language exchange purpose. And, I must say, it worked perfectly! I haven't just started speaking better and understand what other people say, but also found great deal of friends from other countries! So, thank you Jack! This particular tip helped me to improve my English and networking dramatically!
