Treating my mom to her first all-inclusive resort

Показать описание
We love being able to spoil our parents with trips they’ve never taken- all thanks to points & miles! We will never be able to repay them for all they’ve done for us- but we will sure try!
Here’s how we booked this all-inclusive stay with points! We earned 90K Chase points from the sign-up bonus on a business card a few months ago

We combined those points with our Chase Sapphire Preferred card’s points, and then were able to transfer them to Hyatt. Chase points transfer at a 1:1 ratio instantly to Hyatt.
We booked 3 nights at Secrets Riviera Cancun for 75K Hyatt points, which is a good deal considering everything is included for that price. The standard room redemption starts at 21K points on off-peak dates, 25K on standard dates, and 29K on peak dates. This rate is for 2 people. It will cost half that amount to add a third person to the same room.
Standard rooms include ocean views, a rainforest shower, and a spacious balcony with a large hot tub.
All drinks, food, room service, nightly entertainment, non motorized water sports, and daily activities (like pool games, painting a bottle, tequila tasting) are included.
This resort seems to have the most availability for award stays in the Cancun area based on our searches. Keep in mind that it’s adults-only, and is connected to the adults-only Breathless Riviera Cancun which has more of a party vibe compared to the chill vibe at Secrets. You can access both hotels when staying at Secrets, but Breathless guests cannot access Secrets. For a family-friendly all-inclusive resort in Cancun, we recommend Hyatt Ziva Cancun which requires the same number of points.
Do you ever use points for all-inclusive hotels? What’s your favorite?
