They were given individual speech therapy, group therapy and computer therapy. The communication, quality of life and confidence of the people with aphasia in this study improved. The authors tested the people with aphasia three months after the study ended. The people with aphasia's communication abilities and quality of life was still high. Their confidence was not as high as it had been directly after the study ended. The authors want to do more studies. They want to look at if people with different kinds of aphasia get different benefits from the treatment. They also want to come up with ways to make sure the benefits of treatment stay around long after the treatment is finished
