The LEGO Technic CAT D11T Bulldozer 42131 is absolutely phenomenal! It uses two of the large angular motors to drive its brand new yellow tracks, which also have track tensioning! On top of that, this set contains a differential, as well as a gearbox, which is absolutely incredible! The LEGO Technic Cat D11 Bulldozer has a plethora of mechanical functions! I greatly appreciate that, the set has a strong focus on mechanisms!

As someone who actually runs the real life version of this machine, I'm excited for the lego version!

My guess for why large angular motors were used is 1: They fit in well with the angle. 2: There is an output on both sides so the v 12 can be driven

People complaining about the price - anyone who has ever bought any Caterpillar merchandise will know that it is always expensive. CAT licensing would add a fair premium to this set.

For me it's a 'meh'. Besides it's sheer size I don't see a wow factor. Having the 8275 in the collection, it seems that the new one is: slower and weaker, bigger (that's not an advantage - makes it harder to play with and more difficult to store on shelf) and much more expenisve. I'll skip on that. 8043 still is for me the best RC technic model (all-round great: size, functions, playability, fun of building, pieces donor) and I think that at this point only a reincarnation of 8455 Back-hoe Loader, fully pneumatic with modern looks, could make me pay 400+ $ for a Technic set...

I just think LEGO should produce more models like the 42082 and 42055 with functional machine build, which means working lots of functions with only one motor, matching the gearbox, and nice geometry.

as a collage student with a stupidly well paying summer job, I will be buying this for certain.

Well here in Australia it will cost $750 AUD and I’m totally fine with that as the CAT D11 is the set I’ve always wanted LEGO to make and now the time has come!

I can't believe the price of the set! I'd much rather get the 42100 than this (BTW "slightly fewer pieces" means 300 less with 3 less motors)
This is definitely another Zetros situation but this is a worse deal in my opinion.
Can't wait for the review! (mostly to see if it changes my mind on this set)

I was so hyped to see all the goods in a lego technic set until I saw the price

It's so sad to see this prices tbh. I think $300 for 42129 was just ridiculous but this set breaks that record. One hub, 3 motors and roughly 300 pieces less than 42100. Both $450. 42131 looks amazing but TLC has no excuses for this.

I'm definitely going to buy this set, but the thing is that I only have a $65 dollar budget😭😂😂.

I'm not seeing what many others are seeing with this set. I was really excited for this set but I'm looking at it now and very disappointed with how it looks. As ALL other current technic sets the blue pins showing looks awful, and this time LEGO have thrown additional red pins in to make it even worse. I loved the black actuators, but they are sadly ruined by the dark grey mountings/holders on the end of them, all black would have looked way better as on the original vehicle. Random light grey connectors on the steps, why not black to match the rest of the steps. So many bits that just look unfinished. This model could have looked awesome but I find myself again let down by LEGO and their lack of attention to detail. Sadly this is yet another 2021 set I will be passing on.

I think you made a good point. If it was 350 it could be a good set. 450 is just out of this world and will always have the 'too much money for too little outcome' badge.

Love this Flagship UnBrickMe, would have been much different if it had pneumatics, it could have been the first remote control pneumatics set! But I’m sure that would have been way more expensive than using linear actuators!

This is such a good era to be a technic fan. I hope they have something amazing in the aircraft category to make up for the Osprey.

The reason the ripper only has hight adjustments is because it will automatically tilt as it raises or lowers the blade

the last thing lego will do is to reduce the price tag

Ran this machine for 6 and a half years!! the kit is not perfect but it's pretty awesome and I can't wait to purchase this fantastic Dozer. Was my favorite piece of equipment to run, amazing and incredible machine, unbelievable power!

Honestly, I don‘t care about the prize, I only care about its build quality, .
