Depending on the game $15 to $25 but $40 to $60? No Thanks.

$60 is insane for games that you can play free with emulators not only that unofficial. I’d gladly pay $15-20 for those and I’d buy a ton just because they look cool not to even play

I wonder if they sell any for $60

Don't pick that stuff up. You can download them for free and the shells cost like 5 bucks.

The fact that that’s illegal amazes me how the vendor was even allowed into the convention

This is the type of thing that caused Nintendo to go so hard on roms and emulation. Copying and redistrubiting games for a profit is legit piracy lol. Also prices are fucking ridiculous.

Way too expensive for pirated or fan made games, wtf? Not only that, but super illegal to even be selling.

FOR 30-60?!! Hell nah, this time Alibaba and eBay got my back. You'd have to be actually insane to pay those prices for pirated, bootleg, and modded games

Depends highly on if they're paying for the custom roms to the creators of them 30$ sounds good. If they're just grabbing custom roms and throwing them onto shells, most I'd be looking to pay is 15-20$.

$60 for replica SNEA cartridge and without a manual or original box.

Vendors like this is what is ruining the pricing and raises inflation on real cartridges from scalpers.

I just bought Splatterhouse trilogy on the Dreamcast for $20. It's a fan made game that uses all the graphic assets and sounds from the originals but in my opinion improves the gameplay. It's also a sequel to the games on Turbografx and Genesis. The packaging is also excellent with custom made inserts. I know the game can be downloaded for free but I don't have a DC emulator and I can play this on my actual console.

N E V E R buy these. These vendors are terrible people profiting off things that were meant to be free. Next time you see something like this, tell them to go to hell.

The price and build list for those curious
1x $3.75: PCB
2x .19c: 1k Resistor
2x .09c: 1N4148 Signal diode
2x .13c: 0.1uf ceramic capacitors
1x .22c: 22uf electrolytic capacitor
1x .11c: 2N2222 npn transistor t0-92
1x .74c/.62c: 74LS139 or 74HCT139 dip package
1x .37c: 2032 battery holder
1x $4.45: 6264 SRAM, 8/64kb, 16kb untested (64kb priced)
1x $1.35/$1.52: 12F629 SOIC or DIP
1x $1.00/$1.60: 29F032 /29F016 to SNES Rom adapter or 27C322 to SNES Rom adapter
1x .74c/$1.74: 29F016 flash chip or 27C322 EPROM
1x $1.04: bright colored cartridge shell
Calculating the highest price:
Added all up: $16.36, at most. This price does exclude the price of a soldering iron and solder. That being said this would be a great project for anyone wanting to learn to solder and about the chips in a SNES cart as you have to program some, it can be some work without a dedicated programmer but it's doable (done with minimal effort, one of the top results when you google SNES PCB sells the PCB and ROM converters and is where I take the build list from) (Prices are in USD and specifically single components, prices could be significantly reduced purchasing in bulk and looking beyond the front page of google)

are the pin connectors properly beveled and are they safe to use on original hardware? Those are the questions I'd be asking

There’s an amazing RPG multicart that I got on ebay years ago and it always amazes my houseguests, definitely a conversation starter to say the least... I paid $40 or so for it
