This was put in an artwork showcase channel by PokerFace, and was not submitted in any official capacity from what I've seen, so I don't think this title is too accurate.

Saying that a rework is potentially in the works from seeing a random animation in a discord server is like taking fanart and declaring it official.

Also, it wasn't featured. It was just put in a fanart channel.

And at least give basic credit to fan artists.

It's been confirmed that Scal isn't getting resprited in the future or anything, much like draedon or yharim when he's added. The sprites in-game for her are final last time I checked

I feel Calamitas should stay the same height as the player. It just fits, especially since Amidias and Permafrost have player character sprites

Hey, this animation is not official nor was it even formally submitted (the Auric Tesla resprite you showed *was* formally submitted as a proposed resprite). It also wasn't "featured", it was posted in the showcase channel that any user can freely post in.
It's JUST a fan-made animation. It has no indication of a rework.
Please credit the artists that made this, the user "PokerFace" with the help of "SmallsEogks".
Do a bit more research and don't use clickbait to spread misinformation.

I don’t know if we can expect Calamitas to look like this but regardless if we do or don’t get it credit to the original artist because holy cow the whole thing was super clean! Like for real this makes me wish I knew how to do this kind of animation because while it’s probably rather difficult the results speak for themselves!

Me when i spread misinformation around the internet without doing bare minimum research that would have led to quickly finding out its just a fanmade animation (Additionally no credit given to the artist that made the animation :/ )

It gets more and more obvious, that Calamity dev team have realized that mods are evolving, making more unique weapons and more cool sprites, and they have decided to evolve with them. A lot of sick-ass weapon reworks, very nicely done resprites, and generally a lot of good stuff going on. It will definitely take time for them to remake all they wanted to, but I swear to god - Calamity isn't going down from the pedestal of the most popular content mod for Terraria, like - any soon at least :D

The Calamity mod just gets better day by day
And my pc becomes more low-end to play its latest versions day by day (imagine playing Calamity on 1.4 with the minimum graphics applied and yet have 30 fps)
