And your point is spot on Apple isn't focusing on the 15 Pro users but rather android users who prefer more flexibility, as an Android user myself I am definitely switching over to the 16 Pro this year.

I’m a 5 year cycle upgrader. I got the 15 Pro Max last year, upgraded from the 10. The bump was great but not revolutionary for my needs. I think Nikias is right that Apple know many of us do this cos I know a good few Android users converting cos of the 16 Pro.

In my opinion, the sound mixing feature in video shooting distorts the sound a lot, making it artificial. I hope they make it better with iOS 18.1

I just shot a small video all on my iPhone 16 Pro Max to showcase the video features (Over on my channel). All I can say is WOW! As a full time Wedding and Concert videographer I am always surprised at what iPhones and many other phones can do these days. Will it ever beat my full frame Sony Camer? No. But it is really nice to have something in my pocket that I know I can create such amazing videos or photos with. It also allows me to just focus on the shot instead of trying to figure out wha lens to use and all my crazy settings on my full frame. Strips it down and allows you to just create a story and not have to take creating so seriously all the time. Great Video!

upgrading from 12 pro max that has served me so well (still in spotless condition and fully functional just battery health now 71 % ), so for me usb c / brighter screen / bigger screen / far better cameras / bigger storage / huge battery bump / Dynamic Island, so for me this is a worthwhile upgrade so depends on what you class as an upgrade !

I dropped my 15 pro max 10 times on different surfaces from about 5 feet up. No cracks at all. There is very small little marks on some of the corners. Very impressed with the quality of the phone.

Coming from a 15 PM I can say that the 16 PM is a huge upgrade. The battery alone makes it well worth it. People will hate and say its the same thing, but its not.

I love how tech YouTubers are clarifying and truly trying to let people know not to be easily influenced or feel like they are missing out if they don't get something new every year. No reason at all to upgrade from iPhone 14 and up. But there's a very great difference for anything older than the 13 models!

If you are considering getting the 16 Pro Max, then I am confident to say that it is worth it. Coming from the regular 14 (basically the 13 but with a SLIGHTLY better chip & cameras), I already noticed some pretty significant upgrades, like the 120 hz, always on, better camera, better chip, etc. but if you are coming from an 14 pro or newer, then I say hold off a bit unless it’s absolutely necessary.

There are two things which i don’t like in iphone- dynamic island and the new camera button. Camera button is still ignorable but that big dynamic island is an eyesore on such a beautiful screen.

Good video. The Camera Control button is for me, a great open and shutter button and great for zoom. Everything else can be done faster on screen. But still, it’s a really useful button that will become great soon with the Visual Intelligence feature and two stage shutter.

I was so confused at the end because I'm getting the iPhone 16 in a couple of weeks and I NEED the SIM card slot. Luckily I don't live in the US, I live in Hong Kong, and in Hong Kong, they have the physical SIM card slots.

They needed to make the camera control button lower because it’s almost in the middle of the side of the phone. When taking pictures horizontally my finger can’t even reach it
