From what I learned about this method is it comes from Africa and its uses to keep produce from spoiling. Clearly, there are more modern invention however many don't have access. This is way more trouble than its worth. A 10 degree Fahrenheit differential is not going to keep things all that much cooler...

This is so stupid! First of all 66 is still a warm drink. Yuk. Second of all for all the money you spent buying these materials, you could have just bought an inexpensive cooler. And for 10 degrees difference it's not even worth knowing for an emergency because 10 degrees doesn't keep food or beverages food safe. Waste of time and money.
