ShortPixel Adaptive Images Tutorial 2020 - How To Setup ShortPixel Adaptive Images Plugin

This is a premium plugin that I see used on many websites without a ShortPixel account. So I wanted to set the record straight that this is a premium plugin you need a ShortPixel account with credits for this to work. If you don't your images will redirect back to your host URL and will hurt your performance.

The amount of sites I see using this plugin who have never paid for ShortPixel is quite amusing. This is not a free plugin but the user interface doesn't clarify that you need to have an active ShortPixel account with the domain attached to it and must have credits for this service to work. Otherwise, your website performance will actually decrease!

I don't know why but my website even with Short Pixel Adaptive images when using page insights i'm getting the "Properly size images" for desktop and for mobile getting "Largest Contentful Paint element " which is my homepage featured image. I'm not sure what is going on ...would love some help

So on the website for adaptive image website it goes on GB which plan do you recommend purchasing? It's hard to tell because it goes off traffic "I think" but there is no examples or suggestions on which plan to order for multiple sites. Great video thank you!

Do you think it'd be worthwhile using Robin to compress images as are they are uploaded to the media library, then using Shortpixel to serve the images? I'm assuming this would mean that the images would load quicker from Shortpixel's CDN. Also, although you said that using lossless would mean that there is no good reason to use ShortPixel Adaptive images, do you think there would still be a benefit because it always serves scaled images?

I don't remember setting up a ShortPixel account with my website and the images are being compressed. But within my SPAI dashboard there is no "user" info, so I can't be 100% sure. But one issue is that one of my clients, whose using Safari browser, is not getting a compressed image view (the site takes several seconds to load instead of the usual 2 seconds). That said, do you know if ShortPixel works with Safari or Mac OS? (If not, if there is a work around or plugin?)
