I think PSG got better primarily because of the Coman injury. Gnabry came on, and he was unable to track Nuno. Mbappe was on for some time without much changing. Coman coming off with an injury was the key change imo

Nice analysis, as a Bayern fan I’m happy with our performance in the starting 2/3rds of the game (chances were kinda awful) - but a bit after Mbappé came on it turned to shit, and it proves how much he can change in a short span, he’s the only one who can damage us but we got out with a lead, and our next game is at home so I’m feeling very good and confident ❤🤍

you would think that with the money psg has, they’re recruiting would be as the same level of man city. soler over ekitike who has the pace, made no sense from galtier and playing a 16 year old in this game who neither neymar or messi really trusted didn’t help them. as long as Kylian plays in the second leg, it could swing either way

It’s like Galtier set up the team to draw. How can you play a 4-4-2 flat with a squad like PSG. This isn’t Burnley under Dyche, it’s a team that has Messi and Neymar. Not only were they playing a 4-4-2, but Neymar and Messi were playing upfront. Both of them play similar to each other in that they are mainly playmakers and not clinical strikers. When Mbappe is playing with them they always look to give him through balls. That’s why the game changed when he came on. Ekitike your only other striker was on the bench and though he might be young, he definitely would have done better than 16 year old Zaïre who is phenomenal but not ready for games of this magnitude.
