Adult Congenital Heart Disease: Arrhythmia Management

The most common types of arrhythmias are atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter. In many patients, these arrhythmias can go unrecognized. However, in adults with congenital heart disease, these arrhythmias can often result in decompensation, shortness of breath, and fatigue. Treatment for atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter can include medical therapy or catheter ablation.
