UPDATE: Amtrak's Silver Star has been combined with the Capitol Limited to form the new FLORIDIAN Service between Miami and Chicago! The Silver Meteor remains from NYC to Miami, but the Silver Star is no more.

Quick correction: I should have said the “Hudson River” instead of the “East River” after departing NYC. I apologize for the incorrect statement.

This video made me tear up. My dad was supposed to take this trip in summer 2020 to celebrate him finishing his cancer treatment. Obviously the world shut down in March 2020 and he canceled the trip. He passed away in June, just 2 days before his trip was supposed to happen. 😢

I must express my ongoing admiration for the seamless flow, captivating engagement, and overall pleasant viewing experience your production style consistently delivers. Your ability to showcase another Amtrak journey while keeping it fresh is truly commendable. I wish I could have provided footage for your trips in and around Philadelphia, but my work schedule did not allow it.

I ride this train often, enough the crews started to recognize me, from Tampa to up north and back. I think it's a very good "beginner" overnight train trip and the chance to depart from NYC and use the Metropolitan Lounge really helps wow people on what train travel SHOULD be like.

My dad “hoboes” on trains when he was a young man. He was born in 1893 so it was a VERY long time ago. I hope he looks down upon the trains of today…..I bet the riders of today don’t have stories, like daddy did, to share. I guess that is a good thing! 🤔. I would love to take this trip on Amtrak. 🤔

I love trains, amtrak and all that train stuff after growing up w trains, designing displays, and working at a historic railroad for over 25 years. so with that being said. I think that your video presentation is TERRIFIC.. I especially loved the coordination with the people on the ground (nice extra touch) and the virtual railcams. I love those things. Keep up the good work and thanks for introducing us to the new cars~! Have great trips ahead. Thank you!!!

One of these days I would like to travel from Boston to Miami using the Silver Star in one direction and the Silver Meteor the other. Thank you for sharing this video.

As a native of the Tampa Bay area, I totally forgot that Amtrak goes to Tampa. Have not lived there in many decades.

You went rattling through my neck of the woods at 110 MPH. Adams Yard is in my hometown of North Brunswick, NJ.

I understand the Viewliner 1s have now all been retired. The last time I rode in a roomette on the Crescent before the pandemic, the only times I had to leave my room were to go to the dining car for meals. It was handy to have the toilet in the room, but I'll adapt.

This was a lot of fun. I’ve ridden Amtrak numerous times but I’m 78 now and my train travel days are over.
