I've been humming this song probably once a week for the last 25 years. I love the themes of brotherhood and friendship in this series, I think it's the main thing that gives it it's charm.

This has got to be the coolest and most authentic jam session ever caught on film, I love this scene every time I watch Phantasm.

I love the foreshadowing at the end with the tuning fork. The very next scene shows a girl opening the door revealing the "tuning fork" to another world.

The first Phantasm rightly deserves its place as a cult classic. It had its moments and this is tops. Funny how a little jam session makes the top of my list of all the amazing stuff in this movie. Every couple of years for the rest of my life, I'll throw on Phantasm for a good time. And I will always pause to roll another one when I know the 'Sittin' Here at Midnight' scene is coming up.

I’m the biggest horror fan ever and I just stumbled upon this gem a few days ago. I’ve always heard of Phantasm but I never watched it so I did and I love it. I’m a musician as well and this is just gold.

I loved this little jam session. My best friend and I played in a tennis tournament all day when we were in the 9th grade- my Mom bought us Burger King and settled in front of the TV to watch this movie late at night, and let me tell you- it scared the sh*t out of us. I will never forget this this movie.

The fact that the music is sound on tape makes it so much better than if they had used a studio recording. It makes it so genuine.

No amount of money can replace the very amazing and organic moment that they recorded this. Such a simple and wonderful time in history. When you compare it to the horrors of the "rona", riots and violence. I'd gladly take the years that these films were set in and pay cash to have them back!!!
