I don’t understand this at all. I’ve been a diehard fan since 1981. Having only the 4 founding members on stage for all but 1 of their 2, 037 shows has been so incredibly magical. The way they set their egos aside all these years and viewed themselves as one unit instead of 4 individuals is a *massive* part of what makes them so transcendent when compared to 99.999% of bands in history. It’s part of why we are willing to look the other way when they have their backup musicians buried under the stage during shows. We have long understood their mindset is we, as fans, go to a show to see Adam, Bono, Larry, and Edge.

Having said that..

To throw that all away to do a residency in Vegas *without* Larry is baffling to me. This is up there with their iTunes debacle of 2014. Because its not like they need the money. So why do this? Why not wait until Larry is healthy to do it?? Larry basically pioneered the entirety of the sound which was the backbone of Achtung Baby. And they’re going to perform with some random drummer? Seriously??

Sadly if all the concerts are going to be before the holidays, I will not be able to go, because family is first. But you never know, maybe I win in the lottery! 🤪 But I’m hoping for more concerts to be added and being able to go next year. Much love to you guys, especially for Larry! I would normally be super excited for this but I'm kind of depressed about it because Larry won't be able to be there. Not that I'd get to go anyway. I'm happy for the band as a whole but its just not going to be all of them. Trying not to dwell on it too much but its just getting to me. Can't be helped I guess. Hope he recovers well and does what is best for him.
