What an exciting makeover to be sharing with you firstly, because I was asked by Architectural Digest to do an exclusive on this space and secondly, because it turned out better than I could hav expected. After finding out about a product called Concretta from Meoded, I knew I had to give this a try.

I completely forgot to share the sealing of the tile floor and the walls! You actually use the same exact product for both (just a good quality stone sealer) and roll it on with a roller. It adds an additional waterproof barrier and literally repels the water!

FYI for any future toilet removal. You turn the water off to the toilet. You then flush the toilet to remove the water in the toilet. Then with an old towel you remove the little bit of water left in the tank. Then you just lift the toilet and remove it from the room.

The brass aging trick was genius! A quick tip we can all use, even without having to redo a whole bathroom.

I think it looks great, so nice to see people moving away from the cold grey toned interiors of the last decade and using warmer tones. Love the textures!

I like the fact you make changes and aren't afraid to say your first choice was not right. My husband always puts me down when I do that, saying, "I flip flop", or "Never happy with anything". Sometimes you can't know until you try it.

I love how fearless and creative you are! Sometimes when you start a project I cringe when you’re ripping stuff out because I can’t imagine how it’s gonna come together.

But even if things don’t turn out exactly the way you want, you always find a way to make your vision come together.

So beautiful I can’t believe you did the whole renovation on your own. Like is there anything that you can’t do? It looks so good. 😍

Didn’t know if you knew this. I didn’t til I worked at Lowes and contractors bought it. A small gel bag that you throw in the toilet and it absorbs all the toilet water left in the bottom. They would buy it by the case when they came in.

You guys are now iconic influencers. I'm starting to see Lone Fox style (thrifted, curated, old-world antique items) being implemented in almost all decor articles and videos---ex. Architectural Digest!. Love it, thank you!

I realize there is a lot of work involved, but you make it look so easy. But then, you know what you want & how to get it done. I love that candle holder on the toilet. It is so unique. The end project looks great & I think you were right in changing the color of the vanity to the brown. Gives the room such a rich tone.

I probably would have used drywall to cover the side that was in the laundry room and the bottom half of the bathroom side. Then used the opening to add shelves for built in storage.

So we all know that your design skills are impeccable, but I just want to also say that your content creation skills are the best in the game. I always learn something new in every single one of your videos, everything is so well edited and your designs really sing in the way you communicate your vision. I’m so committed to your channel. Congrats on Arch Digest, it’s very well deserved!

Drew, thank God for this video! I was having withdrawals after the vlogmas of December. As a faithful watcher, we can tell that this happened before the laundry room but they go together so beautifully. Closing that doorway off not only gave room for each to have more potential storage but also gives Marie more privacy as the primary user. You so impress me that you never take the easy way in your renovations but hold to your vision even in the tiny details. You are a never ending source of inspiration.

The main change I noticed in the bathroom is how cold it was beforehand with the old white tiles and how warm and welcoming it looks now. Another great Drew project!

You are so brave, the wall finish is fantastic and the bathroom reno looks greats. Hint: next time to remove a toilet- turn the water off using the shut off tap on wall behind the toilet, flush the toilet and then you just have a very small amount of water to scoop out. Love your decor ideas.

Your skill set has improved so much. You will soon be a master craftsman at tile work. I want you to attack the outdoor fountain tile work this summer. I am so proud of you and that Architectural Digest has recognized your creativity and talent. The bathroom looks wonderful. So many of us have ugly or original tile work. My original tile is from 1937. This technique is a game changer for a lot of us. Tearing out that tile is not an option because the tile is attached with mesh, rebar and cement to an exterior brick wall. It also encompasses the entire fenestra steel window frames. Thank you for providing me with a viable and doable option for renovation.
