Be careful with the lead leg stepping in. Jamming is great but you risk a takedown, better to jam after you've off balanced or dazed them.

Stepping in very close with the lead leg intruding in between the center of the adversary’s legs to destroy his equilibrium of his stance structure insures he is in your control. Chase the opponent with your stances and not your hands. Circling opponents are cut off by stepping into a straight line of their circling foot work. directly stepping towards them and not circling with them.
This will force them to back pedal in straight line with the practitioner in hot pursuit and sticking to their body’s not just their hands.
