My name is Nina Fickett and I’m a mixed media abstract artist and creative educator. I am passionate about creating through intuitive experimentation and very driven by my search for and need to use texture. It was this drive that put me on a search for a texture product I had a glimpse of, back in 2017 from a random YouTube video. However, it had no description and no reference to the product line itself. Only a small demonstration of two elements within the line. At that point I didn’t even know the two products was from the same manufacturer. Seven years later I found the product line, but that is another story.
I’ve created this limited series to provide more information about the Powertex product line. I will be reviewing each product’s description, colors available (if applicable), sizes, prices (based off date of footage taken and resource, usage tips, clean up tips, my experience with the product and finally showing you the product as well as samples of the products having been used.

This month I will be reviewing Stone Art powder.

I am very intrigued. Can the Stone Art be mixed with acrylic paint...or could you use acrylic paint over it to seal the absorbency of the paper/wood content? I am also interested in seeing some samples of Powertex pigments being used. I am a painter, both acrylic and oil and cold wax and I am looking for ways to create texture.
