I feel like you should've put AC install on title instead, this topic is always an interesting one in car community, classics with AC is rarity, even rarer for someone making content of them assembling the kit themselves.

Watching the honing machine and the operator explaining how he feels the machine reminded me of my youth. Fresh out of high school in 1974, I worked in a large industrial machine shop in Dallas, Texas. There were rows of giant machines where the humans were just ants crawling around feeding them parts. Earplugs were worn by most people, including me, but not everyone. After a few months in this environment, your senses became numb to the constant sound of all the different machines and processes. However, one day I "felt" something (disturbance in the force?) 😀 I turned around from my nozzle bore to see what was happening. Several of the other machine operators were looking around, too. One of the machines far down the line had malfunctioned, and almost everyone on the line sensed it immediately. An old timer on the machine next to mine noticed I was looking and gave me an approving nod. I guess he knew I was finally in tune with the shop.

That's a really smart product approach: Start with a whole bunch of AC units that go in popular vehicles. Then figure out the minimum dimensions so your unit could fit in all those spaces. Then starting with the most popular vehicles, figure out adapter parts that connect your new unit to old unit's connections, and manufacture those cheap little adapters. Brilliant.

I miss the days with sight glass in the A/C. Makes it easy.

Might want to cover those defrost vent holes with some chicken wire or something to keep things from falling in heater unit

Thank you Tom for observing reality. When I was a kid in Phoenix, I dreamed of owning an off road vehicle that had killer AC, because that was the way to get girls on board for a wilderness journey. Unfortunately I didn't even have a street ride with AC. Ahh to be young and moneyless again.
