The curve can be made quickly with shft+ctrl+click (on where you want the curve). Thanks for this tutorial!

I also use the AUPitch down in the Audio Units sub category plug in, which can actually slide a little, but it messes with the sound a little bit, makes hisses and click sounds.

Though the crossfade tool might be quicker, you have more control this way. Nice tut!

maby hold cmd or alt or somthing? allso there is an easyer way of doing this, select a audio region the use the fade tool to fade the ending out the hold click on the fade out option on the bar to the left and select slow down. hope this helps, its a good effect for turntable stops too

There is a way which is soooo much faster, easier and gives you more control.
Right click your audio track ; Convert => New Sampler Track
It will convert your audio sample into a MIDI event which you can control from the pitch wheel like any other midi instrument.
Then simply go into Exs24....find the pitch wheel setting and set it to maximum 12 semi tones.
Now you can do whatever you want with this vocal sample: Make it stutter (just play the rhythm on the keys), do gradual pitching (like an uplifter thing) or do a quick pitch down like what you are doing.

dude... way easier way of doing this. Select the region you want to effect. use the "fade tool" and select the section you want to slow down. it's set to fade right off the bat, but if you right click on it, you can select "slow down" does the same effect and it's easier. let me know if that works for ya.

You know you can use the pencil tool to draw on the automation line. It still pretty squary but it can save you time

I think you could get a more realistic effect using the fade out with speed

doesn't he just use the tempo fader on each individual track? I've seen people who just automate a basic tempo stop like when you turn the power off on a turntable. You can automate just that single parameter instead of having to draw in your steps like that
