Water for 100 years is a terrible reality. That assumes no major changes in climate or usage throughout the century. A crisis in 2036, say, could reduce supplies by 20 additional years. And you could get a few other crises throughout the century that might then cripple the area much sooner than expected.

Arizona is going to have fuel shortages too. Every state west of the Rockies will have to rely on California's petroleum production and supply from Texas is unsustainable.
