I know you all feel it too: the nostalgia for a simpler time. You can still see your buddies' laughing faces, like they're frozen in time, and you miss the ones that have gone on. Without shame, I cry nearly every time I hear this song.

What is your favorite Halo memory? I'll start... Returning from college to my hometown one summer, reunited with old friends for an epic gaming night. We stayed up all night playing Halo splitscreen multiplayer. Pizza. Mountain Dew. Accusations of "screen looking" and tons of laughter. Gaming with the boys hit different back then...

Playing in the barracks with my buddies. Same split screen, cheating, pizza, lots of yelling and laughing and getting yelled at by the duty NCO for being too loud. Wouldn’t have traded it for anything.

I was too young to be there during the golden days for Halo, but I can tell just by the music that I missed something big

Playing Halo 3, CoD 4, and WoW TBC all in the same weekend was legendary. Never forget where you came from, let the memories be the light in the darkness.

Just finished replaying the original trilogy with my 7 year old son who was experiencing it for the first time. Seeing how much he loved it is now my favourite halo memory

Never Forget is probably one of my favorite pieces of music to ever exist in video games. It helped me realize that game music was just as beautiful as classical pieces like that of Mozart or Debussy.

You can see on his face how many memories are surfacing as he plays this. I was 26 when Halo 3 came out. Best days of my life. I don't know where you're all at in life, boys, but I hope you're all doing well.

Hearing this threw me straight back to 2004, Release day of Halo 2 (where the theme for this piece - Unforgotten - was first featured) is burned into my mind forever. So many great memories playing together with my mates, 4 XBoxes hooked to old CRT TVs, racing in splitscreen teams to co-op through the campaign. I remember waiting for Frankie's updates on the old bungie blog, the old Bungie team all felt like our friends too.

Some of us have passed away, most have grown apart in life, but I'll always cherish those days. Gaming and the Internet have changed.

Wake me. When you need me.

I played Halo, but it wasn't my game of choice. One day, me and my best friends were playing against each other, and during our match I grabbed a Banshee. I was a complete noob; didnt know the controls to save my life. I had it for maybe 10 seconds and accidentally ejected myself out. I landed right next to my friend and started firing out him, when out of nowhere my Banshee landed on him, crushing him. I kept the recording, but forgot about it when i sold my 360, losing all proof of it happening. I'll never forget that moment.

definitely made a grown man cry. I was young when Halo 3 came out but it was my first game with my first 360 after playing halo CE and 2 on my brothers original xbox. I would come home from school after the bullying and making little friends to being able to forget it all and have fun with my xbox friends on Halo. The game literally saved my life more than a few times with how dark it got so it forever holds a place in my heart.

A cold white window morning, a hot coffee in hand, the sun just breaking the horizon casting it's rays across the valley. A melody plays in the background, a familiar and nostalgic one. A tear begins to form in the eye as you are reminded of the simpler times. The times of ease where the only thing that mattered was the next time we got to play the game.

Beautifully done.

Fight on Spartans.

Thank you for the tab, will be purchasing to support. Definitely made a grown man cry. My brother and I used to play this together before he passed away. I've always wanted to play this tune. Never Forget.

Were it so easy...

I am happy that I still call my Halo buddies friends to this day. We grew up with each other, ya know?

My childhood wasn’t terrible, but I lived in a broken home with divorced parents. I would constantly be afraid of the power being shut off and I would find myself sitting outside my mom’s room wondering what I could do to make her stop crying. My brother took out his stress on me and I would run away from home more than once. My dad is a great man, but due to the legal system siding with moms, he only got to see me every other weekend.

I bring all this up because the only time I felt peace was when I played Halo or listened to the OST from the games. I still find peace playing Halo and listening to the game’s OSTs. I also met my best friends on Halo 3.
