I was surprised how readily available liquor is in the U.S of A. In the US, you can buy booze at convenience stores, grocery stores and even friggin' gas stations. In Canada, (Alberta, anyway), alcohol is only available at liquor stores. Great videos, BTW.

From my experience, the American workday is way longer. Shops start to open around 6:00 am and don’t close until 11:00 pm. In Canada, I’ve found that most shops don’t open until 9:00 am and almost everything is closed by 9:00 pm. More 24-hour places in the States as well.

Like with all weapons, the excess of arson has to do with accessibility. Like you said, it's colder in Canada, therefore more people know how to/have the means to easily light a fire. If you don't smoke or have a gas stove, most people don't know how to reliably start a fire in the US. The US phased out fireplaces much faster than Canada because of our more temperate climate. Plus, if you want to hurt a lot of people and don't have access to the insane guns Americans have, arson will do.

That or insurance schemes are easier in Canada *shrug*

I accidentally dropped $200 in American money at a restaurant in Ontario once. The next person who sat at the same table found it and turned it in. It was waiting for me at the cash register.

Here’s something weird that I noticed in Quebec, there were a lot of Pay phones, still in the year 2022. In New York City for example, our very last public pay phone was removed within the last few months. Basically they’re now incredibly rare in the United States.
