prof singh's arguments sound very myopic and problematic. Women in rural area still face a lot of difficulties and discrimination. The report simply suggests the stats from a few sections of the society. you have to understand that some women simply don't have the privilege to participate in such survey. how then do you expect to make stats of their situation?

Nation wise, there might have been shifting the dynamics of gender, but according to global gender index, India performed not so well...

Women participation in politics have been reduced.

Discrimination against women is an issue

Women's labour force saw reduction during pandemic.

Gross enrolment ratio declined

Women in high positions or managerial posts are negligible in India

Economic decisions still are influenced by men

Though education have saw a positive change still in proportion to men it is questionable

Child sex ratio matters a lot.

So a lot needs to be done for uplifting the position of women, the positive changing trends are a great welcome in our country, globally we need to focus little bit more... 😊
