The Bobcats - Pledge Of A Fool

Показать описание
CD: One Desire
Foot Tapping Records (2010)
Comments: The video of them performing this live is one I came across here on YT several years ago and was my introduction to the Bobcats and hence, the catalyst for me searching for their cd. I decided to use that video for the backdrop and it actually does sync pretty well at times. I love the original by the Barons but these guys give it a serious run for the money! Kudos to the original poster of the live performance.
Group Info:
The Bobcats are a 1950s Rock & Roll , Doo Whop & Jive, rockabilly band and recognized as one of the top acts on the circuit and who have been performing for many years. The band members between them have a very wide range of experience ranging from playing in small private venues to performing all over Europe. The band covers a wide spectrum of music legends from the 1950's covering the Rock & Roll scene.
Darren Davis - Lead Singer
Darren is the voice of The Bobcats. He has one of the most recognized vocals on the Rock & Roll circuit. He has been singing since his early teenage years and his passion for the fifties music shows the minute he steps onto stage. Whether its Doo-Wop & Jive, Rock & Roll or Rockabilly, Darren lights up the stage as soon as he starts to sing. This larger than life character is our very own gentle giant.
Shaun ”Tugga” Jenkinson - Drummer / Backing Vocals
Shaun’s love for the 1950s music began at a very young age. His parents took him to clubs where Rock & Roll bands played and immediately fell in love with playing the drums. His dad bought him his first kit which he kept in his garage and told everybody it sounded like he was making a shed !!!!!
This self taught drummer progressed over the years playing in a few Rock & Roll bands, then had the opportunity to join The Bobcats.
Shaun is the joker of the band but always shows his professional side as soon as he starts performing with the band
Nile "The Rev" Robins - Double bass / Backing Vocals
The Bobcats original bass player has rejoined us as a permanent dep with his natural talent and expertise that shows as soon as he gets on stage slapping that bass, bringing a happy and professional vibe back to the band. The Rev has been playing 50s music since his school days (about 20 yrs !!!!!! Hmmmm yeah right !! ) Seriously though Rev loves the music and the people involved within the rockin scene, and is glad to be stepping in for The Bobcats again. He has many musical talents but his love for the double bass is second to none.
Billy Jenkinson - Lead Guitar
Billy found his love of rockabilly at around the age of 13 when he discovered Johnny Cash. He learnt to play the guitar from Steve Taylor of "The Straight Aces". Not through any formal lessons but by going to as many performances as possible and shamelessly copying his moves.
Best known as the guitarist and principle songwriter of "The Deadshots" and now a proud new member of The Bobcats.
He is so much looking forward to catching up and playing for all you lovely people again.
