I share my thoughts on the not-so-great booking of guys like Booker T and Batista for these Summerslams, why I enjoyed the main event between contemporary rivals John Cena and Randy Orton, plus so much more! #wwe #summerslam

From Umaga’s dominant performance in the WWE Intercontinental Championship to the unforgettable face-off between John Cena and Randy Orton for the WWE Championship, we break down every match and moment. Unfortunately, not everything was a slam dunk. Rey Mysterio’s rematch with Chavo Guerrero and the Great Khali’s clash with Batista left much to be desired.

I love John Cena vs Randy Orton match. Lot a rivalry in wrestling in 2000
Right now...not much rivalry in WWE.

Say what you want about Mr Kennedy. He got himself over . And beat like 6 world champs. Wwe was in a dead period around this point . Mr Kennedy and MVP were carrying Smackdown at this point .

This was the show where I got back into wrestling. Got that DVD from a closing Circut City. I like the fact that we act like Kane vs. Fit Finley never happened 😂

I agree about Batista kali . I'm jealous man the build up to that match was box office . I couldn't watch it . Summerslam became like the royal rumble . Titles never really changed at summerslam around this time.

I believe the Booker T match was short because he was on his way out and it was not on good terms as he had put out a statement on his Myspace on him leaving in 2007.

this SummerSlam wasn't not anything special much like the year before the only build i enjoy was Randy's legend killer run when he took out every legend that got in his way

John Morrison wasn't originally going to win, Chris Benoit was supposed to fight cm punk and Benoit win the title but then Chris Benoit did what he did and John was his fill in

John cena vs Randy this probably one of they best matches that they didn't see. Randy hit the RKO should have won. This was during the super Cena Era. That explains that lol

Batista vs Khali was unwatchable can't believe Khali in world title match at SummerSlam and this happened again the following year

Book vs hhh was 5 minutes Long booker lost so easy is not hard to know why he left the company for TNA the f

Sounds like Summerslam 07 needed a double dose of Blue Chew! This was a total dead spot for me on account of having no way to watch WWE during this period up until around 2020, really enjoying this series though.

Randy vs cena was a Good match not anything special and the ending shocked me with cena winning after one AA did not see this coming

This a summerslam I didn't watch .
But Umaga attire he a bigger guy what else was he going to where. He wore. Saying it's outdated has nothing to do with the match . Traditional Samoan attire . UMAGA was a intimidating force in the ring his ring attire didn't matter .

I'm a Booker t fan . But HHH made me a Wrestling fan . Booker t Great. But he not on the level of HHH . HHH was dominant and a evil genius 2007. It was a freight train . BOOKER T didn't stand a chance .

I attended this SS! I remember it being one of the lower energy live events I've been to, but I remembered loving Mysterio as Silver Surfer and Orton/Cena.
