The MDA Labor Day Telethon was an enchanting yearly variety show that ran for half a century. Hosted for many years by Jerry Lewis, the telethon featured top stars from the world of music, comedy, and Broadway and was like no other show on earth.

He's making a lot of jokes about being ugly, it makes me feel bad for him, especially as he got addicted to plastic surgery later on. He's quirky but he's not ugly, and he's got a fun personality and a lot of energy. Honestly his material isn't as bad as people joked about back in the day, it goes so quickly so if there is a dud its over and then you get a good one, plus he embraces the cheesiness of his act which makes it work.

Always liked Carrot Top. I would get excited as a kid when he came on. Not for everyone, but definitely hits you with alot of unique jokes.

The Wendy's sign, the caution camera, the bumper slippers and the hidden compartment basketball are LOL worthy as well as the pedicured slipper! OMG...25 years later and that rainbow shirt with jeans and footwear are still groovy!

Older comedians loved Carrot Top (like Jerry Lewis and others born in the early 20th Century). Carrot Top was a bridge between generations because he didn't follow the trend of "let me be as vulgar as possible". He would've been a superstar in the 1940's---1960's, also.
