Henderson neighborhood fed up with dog's barking

Neighbors near 215 Beltway and Valle Verde Drive said the barking has been going on for more than a year.

I used to have a rude dog owner who lived a few houses down from me and I decided that if I was going to be awake, so was he. Every night that his dog would be outside barking, no matter what time it was, I would go over to his house and ring his doorbell incessantly until he answered the door and did something about the dog. He finally fixed the problem once and for all when I woke him up at 3 a.m. on Christmas morning because his dog woke me up at 2:45 a.m. on Christmas morning.

After almost 20 years of barking my neighbors German Shepard died and what a fucking wonderful joy it was and still is it's so nice and quiet now.

My neighbours dog barks when I go out into my backyard, when I go to the letter box, when O open the gates, when I drive into the drive, if someone else drives into the drive, when the postman goes by or if someone walks down the street and now its getting to the point that it barks if I open my door. But the neighbours let it. The dog is doing what dogs do, it is the owners that are not teaching it. My dog doesn't bark, but I have to put up with theirs.

I've had this problem for a year...only mine was worse than his. My neighbor has 3 dogs, 2 of which sometimes bark incessantly without stopping for 2 hours. When it was really bad, they would bark all morning to night time and it was impossible to sleep because we lived neck to neck with them. We sent a complaint to the neighborhood association, they sent out a letter and that didn't help. We sent our own neighbors a letter, that didn't help either. the only thing that helped us was that across the street from our house we have a neighbor who is the sheriff, he personally complained about the annoying dogs. And ever since then its been quiet thankfully. Now, they keep them inside and I still hear them but its bearable. I sympathize with people who deal with this issue and have ignorant neighbors who don't take care of their dogs. Please don't be that annoying dog owner who says that they're dogs and they bark. You just look stupid, there's a difference between a dog barking for a little bit and them not stopping at all. In a sense its animal abuse/neglect on your part.

It's the most insane thing that I have witnessed that,
The insanity of some ignorant dog owners that have no respect for other people and allow their stupid dog Bark, just for the sake of barking... dogs have more rights than people. the world is turned upside down!

i'm in the same situation. it's constant. two small dogs. when the neighbor leaves them outside, it's hours of non-stop barking. the neighbor doesn't want to talk to me about it.

These guys are just too civilized a the owner is taking advantage of it. Others might already have poisoned the dog and issue solved.

I say give the owners a $250 fee ticket each time someone has to come out to them! This will stop most of these dogs!

I had that horrible problem here in NC, for seven years! They put the dog in invisible fence and he howled, yelped allday and nite. We could not go to mailbox or take care of yard, it was deliberate harrassment...and the PD and Animal Control did nothing for seven years. This is how they do things in NC. I rearranged how I lived in my home and developed ear and migraine problem, the PD and AC did nothing. Thank the Lord they moved 2 years ago. A nightmare. I feel your pain.

Will never understand how the darn things can bark for hours on end and not lose their voices... Neighbor across the alley behind us has 4 large dogs. Bark at pretty much anything that goes on around their house at all hours, for hours on end. And, whenever they hear a siren within a mile or so of the house, they start howling. And they got all the other dogs in the houses around them to do it now too. I think there are upwards of 20 dogs on that end of the street that now join in the chorus for almost a minute every time there is a siren. Sounds like the pits of Hell have opened up!!! Truly have to experience it to understand...Not one of those other dogs howled at sirens until these dogs started it. The barking has been going on for about 3 years now at least... Losing my freaking mind. Gets harder every day not to totally lose my sh&t. The next door neighbors used to get a rooster every spring for a few months.... That finally stopped after I got in their face about it. They haven't had another rooster for about three years now. Sometimes would go off at 3am... they don't just crow at daybreak! One morning he started off at 5am. Crowed 28 times in 30 minutes, and then stopped for a few hours... You think the dogs are bad...

I had 8 behind me in one house! And one huge one right in front.
Both houses are about 200 feet from my front door.
I started recording continually. If I heard them bark for a minute I recorded and they seen me! And I made sure they seen me!
Finally after three years it stopped.
I've had it. And they knew I had it and I could of cared less.
I started calling the police continually and became as incessant as their dogs barked.
It's grueling but it's seemed to of worked.
You have to deal with selfish weirdos like they deal with their neighbors.. You just can't care what they think. And I don't.

This dog worships has gotten out on control and I'm glad millions of people nationally are starting to stand up.

I live in Vegas and I have one in my neighbourhood that barks every night, from around 9pm to sometimes 2am. It's horrible. Luckily it's about 10 houses down, so at least it's not as intense. I feel sorry for adjacent neighbours though.
