I so wanted a 'Mid' when I was first into racing. I still want one along with so many other legends. Nice collection.

Wow, just sat down with a beer from finishing a Turbo Scorpion build, and this was the the first recommended video 😃. Gorgeous collection 👍🏻 The Javelin was my first Kyosho a few years ago and still love it, probably my most run car, can’t wait to take the Turbo Scorpion out. I know you probably don’t do RTR, I was the same until a Kyosho Mad Van (Brushless) was given to me for a birthday present from the wife & kids. It’s an absolute hoot on the beach 👍🏻. Quality stuff Kyosho. Cheers.

I had an Ultima straight after a Falcon too!
My parents brought me a Supershot back from Japan just after they were released in 1986 - so I ended up having the first one in the country - even before Riko.
I loved building RC cars at Christmas but as I had only had the Supershot for such a short time and it was such an expensive gift, in Christmas 86 I asked for a Falcon as it was a relatively cheap kit.
I raced the Supershot and the Falcon throughout 87 and found I actually enjoyed 2wd more!
So Christmas 87 I got the Ultima and it was a revelation to build after only having Tamiya cars. The quality was so much higher and it felt like less of a toy.
I raced the Ultima for a while until getting a Schumacher Topcat which was another level up in sophistication.
The Topcat paired with ESC and a speed servo totally out handled the Ultima on our slippery sports hall race circuit.

Great collection Hlenn.. you’re right about needing to pull some out and either run em or just look at em, otherwise they just blend into the shelf

"The main chap out there had He was a turd as well". I remember the story from another video and that line just made my day! Your collection is disgusting in the best possible way.

Totally agree about the Mid, the proportions are spot on, just looks fast and purposeful !. Just now building my Turbo Optima, to go along with my Turbo Scorpion and Optima 👍🏻. Still can't get my head around the javlin, the lack of a body seems odd, maybe if I say one in the metal it will look better ?.

Nerding out to a table fully of 80s Kyosho’s now that a familiar thing in our house. The turbo Ultima is a lovely car once they are restored and they are very close in spec to the cars that were second and third at the 87 worlds. The Ultima pro is the closest spec to the 87 2WD winning car of Joel Johnson’s.

“Kinda cool” - kinda very cool! Love your videos - thank you - takes me back to being a teenager spending my paper round money on an Optima Mid

Hi Glenn just excellent! This is right up my street at present. Like you I never had Kyoshos on my radar back in the day just tamiya and thought of them as overpriced and never thought they were eye candy especially the beetle compared to the sand scorcher! Well now getting back in the hobby and seeing videos of them I can see the attraction and now can’t get enough of them. I’ve got four kits now to build from the legendary series and love to have them all!! Many thanks for sharing Glenn love it. Best wishes

Will never understand why the Rc companies don’t send you every model they release, I wonder how many kits have been sold off the back of your videos……….I would imagine it’s in the 1000s.
Great video 👍
