In south India this was an art form. It was displayed as a group dance performed during festivals and ceremonies. In Telugu language it is known as "Kolatam", meaning "Kola play." I didn't know that it is a martial art. It must be a cultural connection from the good old days when many of the Eastern island-countries were part of Greater India. It is a dying art here in India.
