The original Batmobile was a Lincoln Futura concept car.  It is a shame Lincoln never made the vehicle so we could make our own Batmobiles.  I think it was too expensive for consumers to purchase at the time and that is why it was not produced.  Luckily it got to live in the Batman universe at least.
