Fray-ter. Long A. The Edmund Fitzgerald is located 17 miles NW of Whitefish Point. This is a very special place and is highly recommended if one is interested in this aspect of Great Lakes maritime history.

Ok, I went there this year and the only thing I can say is. WAY more then 29 people went down below the water in White fish bay. That’s what half of the museum is about. The other ships that went down there too.

I've been there and it's a really informative place for the ship wrecks on the great lakes.

The edmond ship 🚢 that, like 29 crew, went down. A ship was gonna rescue it, but there was like no rescue boat, so it's okay. It sunk

Except she didn't go down in Whitefish bay. If she'd have made it that far she would still be sailing

The ship was the pride of the American side
Coming back from some mill in Wisconsin
As the big freighters go, it was bigger than most
With a crew and good captain well seasoned
Concluding some terms with a couple of steel firms
When they left fully loaded for Cleveland
And later that night when the ship's bell rang
Could it be the north wind they'd been feelin'?

So many wrongs here. For one, the Fitz did not sink in WhiteFish Bay, they sank 15 miles outside of Whitefish Bay. Second, it’s called the graveyard of the Great Lakes because of how many ships sank there in 1913.
