Good review Jim. Concerning hard and scratchy materials, they are often harder wearing and easily wiped clean in case of 'travel accidents'.

I think they really do look the Dugs Baws, but agree with you on the interior… the exterior boasts luxury and premium, but parts of the interior contradict that 💪🏻

Not a fan of the rear - those rear light clusters look really strange, like an afterthought.

Prefer the last version also. Had the 1.6 AWD which was a great wee car

Thanks Jim, great honest review.... Whilst I Hyundai have improved their exterior design there is always something wrong... What is wrong with the indicator lights stuck on the wings? £34, 000 for a 1.6 petrol, kind of shows that the BEV model is not as expensive as people pretend. However, all those bings and bongs 👎 I am out...!! That nonsense would drive me nuts!!

Not a fan of those light strips across the front bonnet and at the rear... Other than that it's OK

I know looks are subjective but in my opinion it looks like they are trying too hard to look contemporary and it looks a bit of a mish mash mess to the front and rear and not much of a cohesive design

Don't agree with your opening remarks, Sat in it several times, I think is supposed to to be a famila place for previous users, and having driven Hyundai for 15 years, i immediately felt at home. My IX35 2014 does have softer door trim.
Waiting for the EV here in Australia.
