The ultra, compact, and portable Eton Mini does surprisingly well on shortwave, the medium wave is not so great for anything passed your local stations during the day.

Overall, the radio is a good buy. I am very surprised by its mellow sounding speaker. FM stereo with my inexpensive headphones sounds good also.

I travel a lot for work, and have been looking for something compact to bring along as a clock radio, would this be suitable? Even tho its a bit of a slouch on am, I still kinda like it. If not, any other pocket radios you could recommend that make for a decent compact clock radio?

How about a question out of left field? When watching your excellent video you came across a radio station out of Monroe WI. I once visited Baumgartner's in Monroe WI and had the best cheese sandwich (2) I've ever had (Brick on Rye with mustard and of course a beer went along with the sandwiches). Have you ever been to Baumgartner's?

The Eton Traveler seems to have better MW reception was wondering if this radio has better MW reception than the Eton Satellit that you reviewed.

Many of those stations are private American and Cuban stations.

I bought one, i mean for 24 bucks for something i can keep in my coat pocket or laptop bag while out and about....cant go wrong
