This was the movie I wanted to see most in theaters this year. Even bought my IMAX ticket the first day advance tickets went on sale here. I know why they have to do this but it still pisses me off. I can't afford the $30(my IMAX ticket was $10.50. Regular 2-D showing would have been $5.38) and I don't have the means or data to get Disney+ where I live. I'm hoping maybe sometime in 2021 0r early 2022 they might give it a theatrical run. F-ing virus.

You may not believe, but I been waiting for this movie a couple years already. From the days they mentioned remake Mulan. I used to watch every reaction video to the trailer and get emotional. I will support this movie no matter what, if I have to pay multiple times to rewatching, I'm willing to.

If you guys want know the reasons for the changes, Mushu is a Phoenix due to cultural appropriation, there’s a shapeshifting witch because China have beliefs in shapeshifters, Mulan doesn’t cut her hair because, cutting someone’s hair was considered a punishment and would have been a sign of disgrace, the songs will be background music and reflection will be sung in the end credits by Liu Yifei and Christina Aguliera, and shang is separated into two characters because the director thought it was weird that Mulan was dating and later married her own general

Also for the whole thing about the actress supporting the hk police, she didn't do anything wrong, she was forced to do it, in order to protect her family, a lot of Chinese celebrities had the do the same, in order to keep themselves and their families alive

It’s not their fault that HK is getting killed, I'm sure they want to save you but they can't since they have to follow order from their own country

Out of everything coming out this year, this was the one I was going to pay to see in IMAX so I hope they eventually release it into theatres because those landscapes need to be seen in IMAX

In the original Mulan legend, her parent's actually knew she was leaving home and supported her, and the army actually knew early on that she was a girl and she eventually became leader of her army and lead the troops for years
