In this episode of Travelogue, Tianran He travels to the desert lands of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in northwest China, where he explores local people's special relationship with the land, and how, after many decades, they are now able to do the formerly impossible – growing rice and grape there.

Ningxia is really a fabulous place. The food is finger licking. Can't say anything about the population there. I've heard people from the neighbouring provinces call the locals liars.

This will add to Climate Change. Man-made islands also add to Climate Change. When you plant large areas of green where there was none, the immediate atmosphere changes and eventually, the weather over that area changes. In turn, this will feed global warming.
