Talking with George Howard about the Younger Dryas Cosmic Impact Hypothesis!

I've known who George is for several years, and I was excited to get the chance to meet him and talk for a while. We discuss the weight of evidence for the Impact Hypothesis and the news (or lack of it) about some of the remarkable discoveries and new papers that have come out in the last 12 months.

We talk about the Carolina Bays, and George shares an interesting new discovery,shortly to be a scientific paper, that gives new meaning to the literal destruction of Sodom in Genesis!

Every time I view one of your videos I feel this sense of greater clarity concerning my own questions about history. This was a great interview and I learned so much from it. I realized that the Comic Impact studies are really clarifying historical accounts all over the world. The pictures of the comet tails looking like a snake or dragon really helps one to understand how ancient people may have interpreted what they saw and included it in their art and myths. I also found the information about the dig in Jordan fascinating. Although so many religious myths want to see it as an angry god punishing a particular group, it makes so much more sense that a natural occurrence was responsible for the end of a culture. As time goes on with the YD impact reasearch history is becoming clearer and more logical. George Howard is certainly an affable person and easy to listen to with lots of good information. I love his enthusiasm for the subject. Thanks for your interview with him. As usual, superb video!

Fantastic material as always. One of the most conclusive pieces of evidence for YDCI is that all of these impact proxies can be found in the same layer. As you referenced in another video, they may be found individually, or even group of them in other scenarios, but to find all of them in one layer is fairly conclusive. I'm a science teacher and as we cover geological history I've been including this in my lessons.

A really great interview, I could listen to George talk all day. What's interesting to me is that more and more people are now investigating and studying sites around the Younger Dryas period and are consistently finding evidence to support the impact theory. I guess it's just a case of the more you look, the more you'll find.

The mainstream tried to marginalise the early exponents of the impact theory and still do, but as more and more evidence comes out that supports the theory, we will inevitably reach a tipping point when those that still try and cling on to the orthodox view are the ones who become marginalised.

You only have to back less than 500 years and the prevailing dogma was that the Earth was the centre of the universe. Anyone who suggested otherwise wasn't just going to be ridiculed or marginalised, more likely burnt at the stake as a heretic. Fast forward a hundred years and it was accepted that the Earth orbited the Sun and anyone who suggested otherwise would be the subject of ridicule.
