This song is so special to me. I've spent years drinking in every song Yebba has sung, I feel such a connection to her music, songs and voice. I broke up with my boyfriend of six years earlier in 2020. It was such a difficult decision for us to make and it was one of the hardest times in my life saying goodbye to someone I had spent years loving and travelling through life with. I spent weeks feeling my insides weeping internally and pouring out of me through tears. The mental anguish was violence to my soul. The last time I saw him was the day this song was released. I'll never forget the way Distance has touched my life during such a sad period, and how it gave me a glimpse of joy and hope. I'm so grateful.
