Continuing EI APAC’s well received series of webinars on the Future of Shipping which have previously featured “Future Fuels and Infrastructure Readiness” and “Investment Readiness”, we are pleased to announce the third in our series focused on “The Disruptive Technological Landscape”.
The Shipping industry is witnessing a unique convergence of 1) the need to change, 2) the intention to change and 3) the emergence of tech solutions. Whether it is the need for finding the new pathways for future fuels or the intention to have a reduced carbon footprint, the industry is now looking at ways on how it can be more efficient, socially responsible and technologically advanced to continue playing the role of a global conveyor belt for trade.
Technological developments in the fields of additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, cyber security amongst others are presenting unique opportunities for Shipping, where the asset life of a ship can be anywhere between 15-35 years.
This webinar facilitates a converging discussion amongst the panellists representing different facets of the evolving technological landscape to bring to light on how these trends will enable a tectonic shift in how the shipping industry moves forward, its business model and interaction across its value chains.
