3:32:54 I directly took 2 common, cos theta + cos 2 theta= root(3)/2 + 1/2, which is cos 60 and cos 30 values. Not exactly foolproof method, but faster

Easy way to skip the tough calculation at 3:33:00
From 2 cos pi/k+ 2 cos pi/2k= root 3+1
Take 2 common and send it to the other side's denominator
Cos pi/k+ cos pi/2k= root3/2 +1/2
Cos pi/k + cos pi/2k= cos pi/6 + cos pi/3
Comparing, pi/k= pi/3
Hence k=3

3:32:41 take 2 on the other side and they will form angles π/6 and π/3 which will equal to π/2k and π/k making k = 3 easy solution!

In max to min part type 3 there is a mistake in the question y= cos2x+3sinx=1-2sin²x+3sinx
Correct answer is range is [-4, 4]. You can use linear inequalities
-1≤sinx≤1. Therefore, -3≤ 3sinx ≤3.
0≤sin²x≤1. So, -2≤ -2sin²x ≤0
Adding both inequalities, -5≤ 3sinx-2sin²x ≤3
Adding 1 on all sides. -4≤ 1+3sinx-2sin²x ≤4
