2025 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports - It's here! - First Ride

The 2025 Africa Twin Adventure Adventure Sports ES DCT has arrived, so I thought i'd share a little first ride impressions motovlog with you. It's not a full-blown review that will come after I've spent more time on it. I rode it at the launch in Portugal, so I was keen to re-acquaint myself on roads I know well and compare it to the previous 21-inch wheeled version. I'd also like to hear from you as to what you'd like to see in future videos.

I love the AT's looks. Every spring, when I take the cover off mine, I just stand there and admire it. Until now, I have never owned a bike that I didn't get tired of after a few years.

I’ve got 47000kms on my 2021 atas, 50/50 off-road/onroad. Absolutely great bike!

thanks for the video mate, that was very informative, maybe something like the AT for the "garage" in the future as a second or first bike depending on the priorities ... it looks really nice and although i was considering a ktm adventure, nowadays its difficult to go towards the ktm (..again)

Congratulations on the new bike. Good choice.
Will be interesting to see how you use the bike and spec it up.
A coffee/ride meet might be interesting.
Ride safe 👍

Thanks for this. I actually test rode one of these and absolutely loved it. Compared do my 1250 GS, I found it more manageable, even though the weight is the same. Don’t know if it’s because of those big boxer heads hanging out, but moving the AT around at slow speeds or even just getting of off the side stand, feels so much easier. The AT Adventure Sports is, hands down, the more balanced bike that I’ve ever ridden. Period. Loved it. Going for it. DCT version, probably.

Thanks for the video Tony, glad you’re pleased with your new bike. I got my 2025 model ATAS DCT in September, having changed from a 1250 GSA, and I absolutely love the Honda. Got my dealer to fit me the blue front fender as I don’t like the white; all personal of course. Taking it down to Albania in the summer, can’t wait. Look forward to more videos as you put on accessories as well as more miles. Cheers, Andy.

I bought a new 2025 NT1100 DCT ES in January, and whilst loving the bike, I'm not convinced about Honda's build quality any more.. Lots have mentioned about paint which has flaked off the welds on the front sub-frame (which mine suffers from), and in fact bikes in showrooms have this issue as well.. I've done 600 miles in dry weather/dry roads, and some nuts & bolts are already oxidising/rusting.. My GSA never suffered with this after 7 years of all-year-round riding.
Getting to the point (!) It'll be interesting to hear whether your bike will suffer from the same fit & finish issues as mine..
Thanks for your great videos btw, very enjoyable.. 👍

Just purchased this week. Thanks for the review. Appreciate your input. Won't get the bike for a month???? So many questions in the world right now issues with tariffs, etc. Looking forward to the DCT. Never had before.

I do like the new version and that colour scheme looks great enjoy the new beast Tony . On the meet up I’m only over the border in Suffolk so would definitely be up for a meet up ride out ect . Locks wise I have a lite lock the red flexi one and a X1 lock for when I’m out and about just insured my new 1300gsa and Motorrad didn’t care as long as I had a tracker Stealth 5 and an alarm no discount at all is that the norm or was I just unlucky great video as always looking forward to your upcoming content. Keep it rubber side down 🎉👍
