God Of War, Uncharted, Last Of Us - Which Playstation Game Would Make The Best Movie

God Of War - Hi John and crew Sony is no longer content to wait for media giants to produce shows based on its games. The company has formed a PlayStation Productions studio that will produce movies and TV shows based on games. I know you know this but I want to know which game you love and want to make a movie or show about it? I want a god of war show!

The original God of War could make for a badass movie trilogy too. Imagine John Wick mixed with Thor.

I think horizon zero dawn should be a part of the conversation. Its a mix of Avatar, transformers and west world, if done right it could be an awesome movie.

None of them unless they take a spin-off route instead of an adaptation.
The problem is that these three games are already the definitive versions of that particular bit of stories in their universes. They are already structured like films and their storytelling is strictly cinematic. It is why I found story-rich and 'cinematic' video games like Uncharted would make terrible non-interactive adaptations since these video games already contain the cinematic storytelling elements in them thus give the writers very limited freedom to interpret for the non-interactive visual medium while I believe Earthbound and To the Moon would make a strong TV adaptation because they have wacky and unique premise with limited storytelling formula. Why would you want that same thing with no gameplay and actors that do not look like the originals? It is inherently an inferior experience.

Some games that I think would make amazing movies! Metal Gear, it has sooo much storytelling, Castlevania as well, I think reboots of Resident Evil & Hitman & Assassin Creed!!

GOW has the most potential if its done the way they did Beowulf, with the same voice actors from the game.

I feel like John severely underestimates the video game medium. I can name tons of games with characters and stories that compare favorably to film.

God of War could be dope but its gotta be atleast 2 movies until we see 2018 Kratos. People gotta remember he was in rage from finding out Ares tricked him into killing his family. That took time to get over and in 2018 he was relearning how to be a father again after killing his daughters in God of War 2005

I think God of War has such a good potential to be a movie, but even more potential as a series.

I think Uncharted has the most potential because it's a huge adventure that requires to go around the world and it has really nice action set pieces with pretty likeable characters

Give GOD of WAR to Peter Jackson, so we have that Lord of the Rings type of feel.

I’m going to have to throw Horizon: Zero Dawn into the mix! It might make a better TV show than a movie but still, a PS4 exclusive to keep in mind!

God of War was my first introduction into the franchise and your right, it doesn’t need the other 3 games to tell it’s story. It was also one of my favorite games ever, and the story telling with no camera cuts was something I had never seen before in a game. The soundtrack is amazing and completely adds to the story. If you have not played it, and now are looking for something to do, I would highly recommend this game

Mass Effect 1 would be an awesome game to movie adaptation. Then put in as an mid or end credit scene, or scenes the first parts of Mass Effect 2. That would be awesome for people that has not played the game.

Uncharted definitely has the most potential for a movie

I find for the most part both uncharted and last of us are very cinematic games. Specially the last of us it plays more like movie than a video game. They're prime for a complete cinematic interpretation. A lot more so than god of wars.

Uncharted is the next Indiana Jones. Forget Indiana Jones 5! Studios should be putting all their effort into creating a great Uncharted movie. But even something that would make for a simple adventure movie apparently is hard to get right. They can't hold on to directors or get a solid script.

I know it’s not a PlayStation exclusive, but a limited series adaptation of “Spec Ops: The Line” would be imo one of the more thought provoking and powerful war movies out there
