Aqui no Brasil, o ano letivo costuma começar no incio do ano, porque nósso verão é em Meados de dezembro, ocupa todo janeiro e fevereiro, indo embora em meados de março. Eu amo inicio de ano letivo, porque temos muitas novidades, e esperanças para o novo ano. O que mais gostei desse ano foi fazer plaquinhas de primeiro dia de aula para minha filha, e usar o livro "uma carta da sua professora no primeiro dia de aula. Infelizmente não encontrei ele para comprar em português, mas consegui traduzí-lo e fiz uma versão própria. Tudo nesse ano está diferente, principalmente que agora também faço lanches para nosso café da manhã, que é no meio do horário de aula (minha filha não tem fome ao acordar, então fazemos uma pausa no meio da manhã para comer e depois retomamos os estudos). Nosso primeiro dia foi dia 6 de janeiro, apenas acabamos de começar, isso é muito bom! Obrigada por seu vídeo, sempre me inspira ver outras mães praticando educação domiciliar. ✏

What we do for glue and markers is have a bowl on the table. Our cap bowl. So the second the markers come out the cap bowl comes out. We haven't lost any markers caps. Also a mini trash can for pencil sharpening or ripped paper. Has helped a lot.

The summer absolutely flew by. I think the school supply that I was most excited to find this year was the "low odor" dry erase markers. What a difference it makes during math to not smell strong chemicals the entire time.

We’re still working through the 18 count pack of Ticonderoga pencils I bought in 2022. They last forever so it seems like I’ll need to restock every four years or so lol. We only needed new scissors, dry erase markers, two folders, printer paper, markers, watercolor paints, and a protractor this year.

✏ Happy first day to you and your family! We started yesterday (8/5) We're with you doing our first year of American History with Sonlight. Excited to jump into a new year. God bless your family. First impression from yesterday is that gone are the days of finishing up school before lunch. 3rd and 5th grade with our preschool mascot is legit a lot.

As a homeschool mom of two high schoolers and one middle school we don’t buy a lot of school supplies anymore. Kind of sad. Typically it’s pencils, dry erase markers and notebooks. Sometimes they use colored pencils for an art assignment. Very different then when they were little.

I absolutely love the Amazon pencils. I have never liked the Ticonderoga pencils and on a whim bought the Amazon ones and will never buy another brand.
