I’m in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. 40 years old. This was the one and only Steeler game I’ve ever been to. Money was tight growing up. I begged my Dad to get tickets to this game. He came through. I don’t even remember much about the game, except that final play. How quiet that stadium got for 3-4 seconds, and then the thunderous eruption. Somewhere i still have the ticket stubs and a fond memory of that awesome experience. Unfortunately as of recent years my family and i no longer speak. It was for the best. But i cherish this memory, when life as a young man was pretty simple.

One of the great forgotten games in NFL playoff history

Still remember this game. Captain Comeback (Jim Harbaugh), just came up short of completing an all-time great upset. Literally inches away, from pulling off the miracle.

As a Colts fan, this was one of the greatest and most heartbreaking moments ever...at the time. We sucked so bad for so long that when this playoff run came out of nowhere, it was all gravy. Yet, to this day, I will always be convinced that the Colts would have beaten the Cowboys in that Super Bowl. The following year, Indy went to Dallas and beat the Cowboys in Dallas in a great early season game. After that though, injuries killed the team and everything fell apart haha.

I'm a die hard colts fan and even though we lost this game it is the best game I've ever watched been a fan since 1984

The dagger wasn't the Steelers go-ahead score, nor was it the near-catch on the Hail Mary - it was Coryatt's blown interception.

Harbaugh was a great player back in the 90's. He didn't get the nickname Captain Comeback for a reason

Jim Harbaugh telling Brenston Buckner (#96 Steelers) "I THINK HE CAUGHT IT!" You've gotta give coach Jim credit he was a tuff dude!

So gut wrenching... the Colts' receiver had a trip to the Super Bowl right in his hands, but couldn't hang on. I'm a Chargers fan, but I remember watching this game and rooting hard for the Colts, because my Chargers were out of the playoffs and they were a great Underdog Story. They played a great game that day and almost pulled it off, like my Chargers have the year before.

This was my youngest memory of watching football with my grandpa who has been passed for almost 8 years now. We were Colts fans and I was 6 at the time but I still relish that hail mary play in my mind because it makes me feel like I'm back in time at home with him just a child watching football with his grandpa.

Jim Harbaugh and the Colts felt like a team of destiny that season. I’m a Patriots fan going back to the 1980s… and the Colts were legitimately my second favorite team that season. They were the most fun and exciting team to watch.

Die hard colts fan since I moved here around the age of 10 I'm 42 now and I remember where I was what I was doing what I was drinking the bud we were smoking, brick swag with seeds, I'll never forget it and I thought Floyd Turner had come down with that ball but on the instant replay you finally saw the highlight with that Steeler got just enough of the ball to make it roll out of Turner's lap I wish he just could have grasp it when he had the knowledge it was right by and squeezed it between his legs with both his arms and rolled up like a baby and just cradled that b**** I'll never forget that game one of the best games I've ever seen and the road to get there we played so well they called him Captain comeback Jim harbaugh because he had so many magic moments late in the season and into the playoffs and the Steelers were a very good team and if you remember later in the rivalry dude stripped Jerome bettis at the goal line Jerome absolutely never fumbles. and he was making like he was about at the 50 about to return it all the way and out of nowhere Big Ben roethlisberger slap the ball and his body and made him fall to the ground and that was it but interesting about that play the colts defensive back who returned that after the fumble by bettis was stabbed the night before buY his girlfriend so what if he was never stabbed what if what if what if what it is affected the play with the problem is he cut right back to the middle of the field giving Big Ben the only opportunity to make the play if he'd ran to either side line it's over we return it but he chose to like cut in front of roethlisberger to try to juke them with no need to roethlisberger was dang near on the ground and this series was great us and the Steelers they had so many plays so many things but I'll just say this as an Indianapolis fan we're good at things up we've lost a lot of games we should have won in big moments so I'm just so glad that Peyton Manning got us that one ring and Andrew luck had Us in the AFC championship game people forget just how great Andrew was for about an eight nine year. He was amazing here the biggest comeback or one of them versus the Chiefs it's like the third or fourth biggest and Manning had the secobd biggest after it was just broke this year by Kirk cousins versus the colts so I'm a colts fan I'll never forget these type of games we always seem to be in them we're just that franchise hey but at least we got one with Manning and I can hang my hat on that.

This was my first game I ever watched football. Most underrated game ever. (1995 AFC Championship Game:January 14, 1996) After the game, I became an Indianapolis Colts fan. I root for the underdog. Thanks for posting.

I’m no harbaugh fan by any means but he played his guts out in this game. He just about willed his team to victory on the road against a better team . What the highlights dont show is a pivotal fumble recovery made by harbaugh after a long vicious battle under the pile . I swear he came up missing body parts, the camera showed him half dead afterwards , it kept them close and in striking distance . Be great to see in on tape again. Even after all these years his effort in this game sticks with me . Love the old nfl .
