I am in love with this album! I love hearing Hank sing Jimmy Reed, Elmore James, Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, and talking about Bobby Blue Bland! This album deserves an award!

Hank Williams Jr - my first live concert in the 70's and he was AWESOME! He stayed that way for many many years because of his true deep and multiple talents. He has a voice like blue velvet but it seems to me we haven't heard it in quite a long while.
In regards to this album I've heard better blues music in a Meridian MS holiday Inn lounge.

Now as a fan of the man I hope everyone hears it differently than I and he wins huge acclaim but I can only call it like I hear it personally.
What I think is great rich white honky blues sung by an artist from a different genre can be found on tracks 6-11 of Steve Miller Band "Living in the 20th Century "
So while Hank loves and appreciates the blues, has played with the greats and is a genius in his own right musically, this one just doesn't get there for me.
