Is analyt taught in high school now? I took it fall quarter of my sophomore year. I’d made a 98 in trig the spring before. But over the summer I forgot everything I’d learned and was scared to death of my analyt prof because I was on a Navy aviation contract and the prof was not only the department head but a Navy commander who taught summers at the Naval War College and constantly told us how honest Navy officers were. I was/am very shy and was afraid to ask for help in case he would think I was not worthy to be a naval officer. I made a D. And now, 57 years later I want to learn this.

why use phytag on the 1st example not simply subtracting? shouldn't we use the phytag when line lines are horizontal or vertical from the y and x axis

I am WAY over my head. I need this level of math, along with algebra, to enter the first year of a Registered Psychiatric Nursing degree. Gulp!!
I haven't done math at this level since Grade 12 twenty-five years ago.
