Plot Twist: the 6 million goblin achievement was really just another Blizzard glitch that was accidentally multiplied after the latest hot fix.

Makes sense if this was a community challenge? Imagine all diablo players working together to achieve it and then the reward is actually goblin realm being unlocked as a new feature for all players.

You could also have a team of no damage CC blasters for the world boss who summons 2 goblins everytime he's staggered, with a bunch of people who have farmed some scrolls at the same time. In 15 minutes you could up the efficiency significantly. But you'd only be able to do it when that boss arrives.

I think this achievement is connected to the cow level.. or.. GOBO LEVEL! Thats the new "cow" level where you fight like infinite goblin spawns for some sort of duration and they spawn really fast
